The message that I take away from Karen Armstrong's work on a Charter for Compassion is that I can make a difference; by doing small acts of kindness, by saying "thank you" to people and meaning it, by listening to others, by sharing my smile with others, and being more thoughtful before I speak. These are small things, but they lead me in the direction of understanding, forgiveness, and love, for myself as well as others.

This is the single most important and exciting statement that I have heard in years. It is timely, workable and mandatory to be implemented throughout the world. Let me know how I can help. Thank you. Dr. Polly Armstrong
