Neil Turok honored at innovation summit

The South African reports that Neil Turok has been honored, alongside Archbishop Desmond Tutu, with a “Most Innovative People” Award at the World Summit on Innovation and Entrepreneurship:

Archbishop Desmond Tutu received his award for Human Greatness, while Turok, who founded the African Institute of Mathematical Sciences, received his award for Social Innovation. The institute based in Cape Town aims to support the development of mathematics and science in Africa.

This is great news for Neil as his TEDPrize wish continues to gain momentum.
