Dear Friend,

I am very interested in what your doing! I need TED's help for a project that I am doing! I hope to set a new world record, as well as make a statement for the whole world to see! I am blessed to have the freedom I do, and the amazing friends I meet along my way, while living my dream! I am not rich if you judge me on money, but I am extremely successful if its based on pepole who support what I do! Art is a passion that grows more each day! My story could be sad, but do not choose to look at it that way! Its about having faith, following your own dreams, and never giving up! I am always amazed that I have had the faith to push on, and follow some path my heart tells me! I have amazing friends that I meet online, who have contributed generously to help me with my project!
I did not graduate high school, so I ask you to forgive my writing! I raised a family, and still married to me soulmate, who believes in me! Together we rraised our sons which we are very proud of both! Our oldest joined the US Marines, shortly after 9-11 and graduating high school! He got top of his class in Avaition Electronics, and top of his class in Radar training! He even won a metal while serving in Country, in a group training with other Nations! This makes all the strugglesworth while! I know my son was not in harms way, and believe there is a force, that knew i could not that this loss! But there others who kids are not as lucky, and are in harms way, and pay the price for our freedom! I might not be able to do much, but wanted to show my support for the price the all have made! I have always believed in Peace, but also know you have to stand up agianst bad forces too! I had asked if others would support making a staement for TROOPS, which I was warn might turn political! So being the free thinking problem solver, ok TROOPS, PEACE, LOVE, HOPE, DREAMS, FAITH, BELIEVE, MIRACLES!
I did not finish high school, but through wanting to get involved with the Arts, I end up on the Board of the Visual Arts Guild of Frisco! The only Art class I had was in the 9 th grade, but my passion to be involved, help encourage, and inspire others to be creative has pushed me even more! I was online, in an artist community where I was connecting with others from around the Globe, which made me see more we are different, but not that much! I believe I will continue to add more friends that will also support what I am doing! Then they will just maybe overlaod my computer, and crash it when I start getting replies!
I just got the green light, and will be given space in Frisco Square, during Fair in the Square! Last year we got roughed up by the Easter Bunny, who was across town! We still had a good turn out, and most enjoyed what we put together! The kids where amazing, and had one school where I got PTA involvemnet, and they contributed over 900 images! During the event, one of the girls was talking on her cellphone, " yea, we set a World Record!" I could not tell her we still had a ways to go! We could of set a record for our town, but its unoffical! Guiness staed that Art, might be questionable to setting the record, because of the board term to Art, but might review it if we had enought to make cause for checking! All I wanted is the inspire others to chase their own dreams! I think Art allows for creativity to live, and freedom of new thoughts!
I hoped the expression we made would continue to grow, and seen where TED could help! I am not even sure how I stumbled upon TED, but try not to ask to many questions! Having something like TED would be a blessing, but not even sure my computer would handle it! Maybe, more poweriful minds can work something out for all those who wish to add color, help make the satement, or be involved with the history we might set!
Any consideration, might help the joy of the little girl live a little loger, and would be greatly appreciated by my friends, and even me! I am burning out from my time online, and the full time job, and have to retire for a while! I can only pray, you might find something of interest, and support talking some more about this! Thanks from the bottom of my heart!
  Very Sincerely,
                         Darrell M. Moseley

I support Sylvia Earle's wish "to ignite public support for a global network of marine protected areas". I believe that strengthening the foundation of life on Earth is more important to humanity, now, and in the long run than reaching out to aliens (however sweet and friendly they may be). I'm afraid that the overall emotional decision (the only decision possible, after all) will incline towards the El Sistema project, yet I hope that the wisdom of the TED folks will focus on making sure there's a planet for our children while we help them make the right choices. Unless, of course, we had met the aliens by then and had more planets to ruin.

Let me just start with telling you what a great discovery this web-site is.
A friend of mine and a trusted co-worker, she is brilliant, sent me a link to your page, and I`m hooked for life! It`s so comforting knowing that the smartest people in the world, in every branch of life, be it science, music, agriculture, you name it, is put on the case of saving this world of indifferent thinking. It`s also really nice that they find in their heart to broadcast it to
the common women and men of the streets. With all my love to your project, and will the idea of a world of peace and knowledge to all, be true!
